Breakthrough to Success

Alison McPhee

08/04/2008

My husband Ron Beswick and I took advantage of the tickets to Chris Howard’s Breakthrough To Success seminar held in Auckland this weekend April 4-6, kindly passed on through Phil. The weekend was absolutely awesome and we’ve both signed up for Fast Track programs with Universal Events.

My husband is starting a new business as a direct result of attending this seminar and I know all of my business goals will be accelerated and achieved in a much shorter timeframe and with much greater success than they would have been prior to the weekend.

We’ve also met some awesome people and we know that our lives will experience significant change which has already begun.

We would both like to take this opportunity of sincerely thanking Phil for making this possible and look forward to sharing our achievements and successes with the Richmastery family along the way.

BRING IT ON!

Success Story

Julie Don

07/04/2008

18 months ago I honestly felt that I was not in control of my life – it was in control of me.  I had made no provision for retirement and the thought of retiring in poverty was not only scary but certainly looking like a very real possibility.

I met with a financial planner who laid down the cold hard facts about how much I would need to save in the next 15 years which would enable me to retire on a reasonable income.  Short of winning lotto this figure was impossible to achieve in such a short period of time.

After several sleepless nights I read an ad for Richmastery in the local paper and thought ‘what have I got to lose’ and so I went along to both the mentoring programme evening and the investing evening.

I signed up with Richmastery for the mentoring programme after arguing with myself about spending so much money but now when I look back – what a small price to pay for where I am 18 months later and where I will be in the future.  I can honesty say that Richmastery changed my life.

Being successful in property investing is all about education and attitude.  Richmastery have the tools and resources to provide the education - all you need is the right attitude. Sue and her team at Richmastery, Christchurch are motivating and inspirational.  Each month there are keynote speakers on every aspect of investing you need to make this a success.  The support and confidence provided by the mentoring programme is outstanding.  Not only have I gained new wealth but I have learned valuable new skills, met fantastic like minded people but most importantly I have had heaps of fun.

In just over 18 months I have purchased 5 buy and hold properties which are cash flow positive, albeit just, however each year that passive income will increase along with my equity.  My goal is to have at least 10 investment properties by the end of 2009.

Recently I have been dabbling in some property trading - in 5 months I have traded 3 properties and made a gross profit of $87K.  2 of the properties I never owned – I traded them before I settled on them. Not a bad for result when I work full time and run another small part time business.

I remember reading a quote when I first started the mentoring programme that says ’when it comes to creating wealth it is a mindset.  It’s all about the way you think’.  How true that is.

Retirement is definitely looking a whole lot less scary than 18 months ago thanks to Richmastery!!!

Pursue all Dreams and Know they Will Come True

Jason Roberts

Hi, my name is Jason Roberts, I would like to share my story with you to help inspire other young people out there wishing to get into property investing.

I’m 25 years old and decided 2 years ago to start doing something about my financial situation.

Having grown up in a small rural town called Putaruru with my Mum who was only on a benefit we always didn’t have much money, didn’t have a car, lived in a rented house, and lived week to week paycheck to paycheck.

I enjoyed my childhood and am grateful for it, but it also triggered in me a desire to want more for life and not settling for anything less than I am or choose to be.

When I left High School I decided that If I want to be rich I needed to be an accountant or a lawyer, so I decided to complete an accounting degree thinking that I will earn all this big money as an accountant and I will have all the things my heart desired.  But having finished my degree and working as an accountant I was only on a mediocre salary and realised there’s got to be a better way to do this??

So in 2005 I went along to a profit from property seminar in Hamilton and was allured by this idea of creating wealth from Property.  I decided I have to enrol in the Academy and attended in 2005 and what a life changing event, I haven’t looked back since.

Having been to university to train to be an accountant, I have realised that the most important education anyone should have is a financial education, be that reading books such as Rich Dad Poor Dad, attending the Richmastery Property Academy.

In 2005 before I attended the academy I had about a negative net worth of about $20k, I liked to have a nice car and all the toys young guys want and booked it all up on credit cards and HP – this is no way to live.

After attending the academy, this year in 2008 I can proudly say I now have a property portfolio in excess of $2 million dollars, a net worth of about $400k thanks to property investment.   Also this year I plan on finishing work and I am going to start full time share trading on the US Eminis futures markets, begin developing a block of town houses in Hamilton, and purchasing cash flow positive properties in the United States.  All this from a poor little Maori boy who grew up in Putaruru? Who knew?

This year is going to be an awesome year for me and thanks to the inspiration of Richmastery and other successful people I know I can do anything in this life.   Remember to live life to the full and enjoy every special moment...pursue all dreams and know that they can and will come true!!

A nudge in the right direction...

My background; I am a commercial property entrepreneur from Wellington/Kapiti Coast and have lived on the Gold Coast for 2 years now. My business focus is still Wellington based and I commute monthly between the Gold Coast and Wellington. I attended Phil’s 1st 3 day seminar back in 2001-02?  It was at this seminar that, while Phil and David were heavily promoting the virtues of the residential investment market, that it hit home to me, that now was my time to make the switch to commercial property.

I have followed Richmastery’s progress ever since. (Richmastery used my seminar comments from 2002 for quite some time) That 3 day seminar certainly challenged me to have a good hard look at my skills, knowledge and experience that I had amassed in my nearly 20 years of operating in and around the property and building industry. So I guess I was one of those attendees that went away from those 3 days of information bombardment and the motivational bath house environment that Phil created, and I did actually take an action, a lot of life changing actions, and in fact I haven’t stopped. So these days Sandra, it is very advantageous for me to keep up with what the Richmastery people are up to, and your Richmastery TV is a great opportunity to stay in tune with the “New Zealand property pulse”

From stress to success!

At the beginning of 2005 I was a homeless single mum.  At christmas 2004, I had been put out of my rental home and had nowhere to go (as the landlord's daughter needed the home).  As an undesirable tenant with 2 dogs and 2 cats it was impossible to secure another tenancy and I remained homeless a full 6 months, along with my daughter who is now 13.  I had references for two long term tenancies but they didn't seem to help as we were rejected by landlord after landlord.  I struggled terribly as my young business was unable to trade and I became sick with stress.  I also endured increased numbers of skin cancers requiring surgical removal.  At 33 years old, I became obsessed with getting a home of my own and was attracted by a richmastery ad in our local paper, particularly 'nothing down' techniques.  At the time, I paid $50 for the course which was alot of money to me under my circumstances.  Following the evening seminar,  I was declined my first few mortgage applications but I refused to give up.  Life got easier when a friend stepped in to boost my deposit to 20% so the bank couldn't say no anymore.  (I have paid him interest ever since.)  Applying the ideas I learnt from course, I bought a 'doer upper' (privately too!) in a desirable location in April 2006 and started chipping away at renovations, as well as starting over with that business I had put aside earlier.  I have recently refinanced and bought my first investment which settles this coming Friday.  I know it's small in terms of success in richmastery... but it's a really big success to me. :)  Watch this space... it's just the beginning.
