Moderators

Richmastery.com is always looking for good community Moderators. It is our desire to have a good sound team of at least 15 to 20 Moderators. Ideally Moderators MUST be heavily involved in the Richmastery.com online community and will have many of the following characteristics: maturity, investing experience, positive attitude, a desire to help and encourage others, objectivity, common sense and balance.

Moderation Process

When the Moderator identifies a Post/Thread that requires moderation the general moderation process will be invoked. The process is:

A) The Moderator will decide if the post/thread is to be moved from the current location to the Moderators forum for review. If the issue is serious, requires in-depth review and cannot remain accessible to the public then the post/thread will be moved to the Moderators Forum. If the issue is not considered serious, then the post/thread will remain in the current position and moderation of the content will be done there.

B) The Moderator will alert the forum member who created the offending post/thread via Private Message. The communication will contain the alert to the post moderated and the reason(s) why the post/thread:

• Has been moved
• Was moderated

C) Moderators will not make a notation in a moderated post advising that it has been moderated. We consider that the creator of the post (the forum member) is primarily responsible for their own content and ensuring it adheres to the web site terms and conditions. Moderators will advise forum members by Private Message that a post has been moderated and this notification is deemed as sufficent to prompt the forum member to recheck their post and adjust it as necessary.

D) Where a forum thread is moderated and the thread is;

• Merged
• Split
• Locked
• More than 3 posts in the thread edited in the same 24 hour period

Then Moderators will make a post in the thread advising of the action they have taken.

E) Debate will not be entered into as to why posts have been moderated once the reason for Moderation has been provided to the forum member. Moderators make decisions on behalf of the forum community and Richmastery after careful consideration of the forum post, the Terms and Conditions of this web site, and the overall interests of all parties.
